Sample Contents Volume 2:
1986-1989

Read chapters from the new book on Tucson musicians, actors and entertainers.

The Giant Sandworms, Los Lasers, Statesboro Blues Band, Sam and Bobby Taylor, Street Pajama, and hundreds others were fixtures on the Tucson nightclub scene during the 1980s.

These articles are compiled from several local newspapers which covered the Tucson entertainment scene over that decade– Tucson Teen, The Magazine, and Entertainment Magazine.

The Index, at the back of each of three volumes provides a valuable print search tool to locate people, places and events that were recorded during those decades.

This book is in appreciation to those reporters and photographers who contributed their work and time to keep Tucson informed.

Volume Two of "Entertaining Tucson" features musician and local celebrity interviews, photographs and articles from the Entertainment Magazine between 1986 and 1989. The Entertainment Magazine continued online from January 1995 until present at EMOL.org.

The Entertainment Magazine title had been publishing since April 1985. Prior to that, it published as the Magazine. Each month, 20,000 copies were distributed through all Tucson Circle K’s and QuikMart stores, the University of Arizona and Pima Community College campuses, most Tucson-area junior high and high school campuses, all Tucson and Pima County Library branches, all Tucson and Pima County Recreation Centers, and hundreds of Tucson businesses.
